Have you ever wondered what it would be like to live during the time of the prophets?  What if you could hear someone make a dire prediction (as “experts” literally laughed at him), then watched those predictions come to pass?  Well, you can.  Watch Peter Schiff (who, by the way, was Ron Paul’s economic adviser) predict not only the recession, but the true cause, the timing, and the magnitude, way back in 2006 as so-called economic experts literally laughed at him.  In many ways this is hard to watch.  A good friend of mine (a fellow Constitution Party member) sent these to me and I could barely keep my chin off the floor. 

Shiff knows and says what many are unwilling to admit.  This crisis is not about greedy Wall Street execs (though there’s plenty of that).  This is about fundamental flaws in the American economy.  This is about people living beyond their means.  This is about living on credit.  This is about a lesson that all of us (me included) must learn if things are to be different in the future.  Moreover, the current attempts to borrow and spend (by the government) our way out of a problem brought on by borrowing and spending (by the people) is absolutely insane!  What’s amazing is that the men and women who mocked Schiff are still guests on these shows while Schiff is virtually unknown.  Think about how many times you’ve heard the phrase “economists agree” as of late (especially when trying to sell us on the “Stimulus” plan).  This video will demonstrate that going with the majority of economists can be utter folly.

As if this isn’t bad enough, Schiff’s sound economic philosophy is still being mocked.  He’s beating the drum against the “stimulus” package as Senators pat themselves on the back for cutting the bill down from the $820 billion House version to $827 billion (Senate math is fascinating).  This is like an episode from the Twilight Zone.  Buckle your seatbelt as the other shoe drops:

What can I say?  I think I’ll buy some gold bars and bury them in the back yard.  In the meantime, we’d all better eliminate any debt we have A.S.A.P.
