Voddie Baucham on CNN

A few weeks ago I had the privilege of appearing on CNN. I was told that I would be discussing my original blog on the Governor Palin pick. However, the interviewer chose to turn the show into a discussion of the what many see as a contradiction between the support for Palin in the evangelical community and the fact that she would not be allowed to serve as a pastor in many evangelical churches. My opponent, Margaret Feinberg (listed by Charisma Magazine as one of the “30 emerging voices who will help lead the church in the next generation), took the Feminist/Egalitarian position. I know Margaret and her husband. I consider her a friend. However, we do not see eye-to-eye on this issue. Unfortunately, hers is probably the majority opinion in modern evangelicalism (though few would agree with the way she attempted to use Eph. 5:25).
As of the time of this post, the clip has been viewed on Youtube nearly 21,000 times! I had no idea that there was this level of interest (which explains why I haven’t posted it before now). I have since been contacted by The Los Angeles Times and others interested in this issue. Unfortunately, most of them either do not or will not focus the discussion on what I have attempted to address in my posts (they would much rather play ‘gotcha’ with conservatives). However, I hope this interview at least moves the discussion forward. Enjoy!
For I rejoiced greatly when the brothers came and testified to your truth, as indeed you are walking in truth. I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in TRUTH
