A group of climatologists has bucked the political trend and are forecasting Global Cooling in the coming decades (see here and here).  As I have written before (see here), there has always been serious debate about whether or not Global Warming is anthropogenic (caused by man).  There has also been serious debate about the drastic measures called for by Global Warming alarmists (led by Al Gore and his fraudulent documentary).  The fact that people like Al Gore sound the alarm while increasing their carbon footprint should be a clue as to whether or not they truly believe the “end of the world” scenarios they proclaim.

Climate change is a complex scientific field.  However, politics has complicate things even further.  From Kyoto to the U.N., there is a cacophony of voices calling for the end of the US economy as we know it through harsh, unreasonable, destructive, and unrealistic energy policies (like cap and trade) designed to reverse trends that, according to many scientists, has much more to do with cycles of the Sun (thus the simultaneous warming of Mars where we have no carbon footprint) than it does with people driving SUV’s and flying in private jets (like Gore and Pelosi).  Ironically, these policies leave China, the world’s biggest polluter, untouched (see here)!

I believe the dominion mandate God gave to Adam makes it clear that God intends for his people to be responsible with the Earth.  However, there is a huge difference between responsibility and worship.  There is also a big difference between science and politics.  Unfortunately, Climate Change involves much more of the latter. 

The earth is truly going to burn up (2 Peter 3:10), and I believe that message must be heralded by all of us who believe it.  Unfortunately, scientists who believe in Global Warming are much more convinced than many of us who read the Bible.  My prayer is that God will give us the type of passion and commitment they have so that we might herald his “Global Warming” message... REPENT FOR THE KINGDOM IS AT HAND! AND THE DAY OF JUDGMENT IS FAST APPROACHING.
