Arne Duncan wants to extend school hours to “twelve, thirteen, fourteen hours a day,” for “six to seven days a week,”and the school year to “twelve months a year.”  That’s right, Arne Duncan wants to take the next logical step in the usurpation of parental rights and responsibilities.  We’ve already agreed that our children are wards of the State.  He just wants to start acting like it.  For Duncan, “This is about more than education; this is about social justice.”  That line, toward the end of the first, clip speaks volumes.  Arne Duncan is the Education Secretary, but he sees himself as much more.  He sees His desire is to see the power and reach of the Federal Government expanded to unprecedented levels.

Remember, this is the man president Obama gave the nod as his Secretary of Education.  Is there any wonder that he has a Gramscian neo-Marxist worldview?  And for those of you who are wondering about his resume, here’s a little insight:  Among Chicago 8th graders "only" 83% can't read at grade level, "only" 87% can't do math at grade level, "only" 77% can't write at grade level, and "only" 84% can't do science at grade level. Even more astonishing, the Secretary Elect managed to achieve these arresting results by spending a modest $10,555 per pupil per year.  And don’t forget, the Secretary Elect is firmly committed to a progressive worldview. In fact, he endorsed establishing The Chicago Social Justice High School - Pride Campus, Chicago's first government high school for the promotion and reinforcement of the homosexual lifestyle.
