I apologize for the delay in posting the last couple of blogs.  For those who have been following, you will note that the last two blogs, though written Tuesday and Wednesday, didn’t post until Thursday.  That is because I’ve been traveling back from my most recent trip to Lusaka, Zambia.  The last couple of days we were in Livingstone (Victoria Falls), and Botswana.  The picture above was taken on a game drive.  The lioness was about four feet from us.  We were in an open vehicle when we drove up to find a fresh kill (Buffalo).  One lioness was guarding the kill while the other used our vehicle as cover to stalk a warthog.  It was one of the most exhilarating/terrifying moments in my life!  I don’t know if I’ll ever be able to enjoy the zoo again.
